#teamKenya #teamKenya #teamKenya #teamKenya

The London Olympics is here and our #TeamKenya is representing. Legoooooo #teamKenya Legooooooooooo #teamKenya. We all watched the opening ceremony which came with twists and turns and all sorts of humour (if you are Kenyan and a #KOT (Kenyans on Twitter) then you know what am talking about. That James Bond and the Queen of England stunt....eish! huh... someone joked If the Kenyan first lady and inspekta Mwala tried that at Nyayo stadium, they would fall very hard on Mombasa Rd. (bwahahaha!). We were all very excited wow. Then came the moment when teams participating in the championship were being called into the arena.

The Jokes that came along clearly showed how #Kot are a bunch of creative robots. Absolutely amazing. We couldn't move away from our seats, because we were all waiting for our teams to be mentioned. #teamRongai #teamKinoo #teamZimmerman #teamTurkana #teamMRC. But, unfortunately it was #teamKenya that had the flag! Yaay!

The joy continued like this:

But it cant go without mentioning some tweets that made me feel like ''why didnt i think like that?, I would be receiving retweets like hell''. But again we had some very dump tweets about our Kenyan athlete Dunford and some stupid yes I said it STUPID fellows thought of abusing him. Left, right, centre, go to Rongai passby MRC and tokelezea Turkana that boy is Kenyan and he has and had a right to lift our Flag high. If you think otherwise please do as someone said ''start training for 2016 Olympics''. I wont show you the negative racist tweets here.

Now the guys broadcasting the live event were very mean to #teamKenya; it was like 2 Seconds and bang....the next team was on the screen. That wasn't fair. Jamaica--- Usain Bolt and his team mates were given lots of seconds coverage.

Well there were lots of stuff going on during this time and if you get time go to twitter and search for #teamKenya and concentrate on tweets from 27th July.

Several things came clear to all of us; WE CAN BE UNITED AS A NATION and as a PEOPLE. Such small things like #teamKenya can take us places. If something happened and say a politician showed up on the screen last night; God knows that we would not have tweeted, #teamKenya??. My mum told me this ''Son it is the small thing that matter''. Politicians will never make you proud but your immediate neighbor can and will. I was reading through the thread on twitter this morning and couldn't tell which tribe was tweeting --- just awesome. How I wish we could have other Olympics here in our country everyday every night.

Those who cursed when the white Kenyan boy carried the flag are the enemies of themselves and to us all. Danger is such people have capability of polluting a virgin mind with such 'crap'. How I wish everywhere I go I could here #teamKenya #teamKenya. Come to think of it: Sports can be used to change our national views on political stability of this country. When Kenyan sports men are winning trust me you will find two enemies at same point cheering #teamKenya. Word is: Kenyan 'Politicians' are not #teamKenya. Yes, and we are the only people who can change this to #teamKenya.

Lets not be #teamKenya in London, TV, facebook and twitter; bring it home baby bring it. Lets all sing #teamKenya, lets cultivate #teamKenya, lets save #teamKenya and we will be #teamKenya #teamWinners.

We wish #teamKenya the very best, and yaaaaay those Medals are coming home: They will be singing and dancing ''Narudi Nyumbani'' with hands full of Gold medals -- at Heathrow Airport.

My 2 cents.
Ernie.
