Charity is a good word to use but the context in which it is used matters also. Back in the day when we used to pay school fees....yes am not a free primary education product (do they know what a blog is --no pun intended)...yeah as i was saying in those days...we used to pay school fees...and the head teacher would call everyone during the morning assembly. One thing was always on his agenda...payment of school fees in full or in arrears. There is one thing he used to say to the defaulters ''this is not a charitable organisation''. But when we have peeps win lottery stuff we hear them donate to charity of their choice.
Its been a week where i have felt serving and giving; my time, resources and attention.. last week I gave away airtime yes....Sometimes it is important to appreciate people with the little things we have. How many people have you appreciated...and do you know you get blessings when you appreciate them, they do appreciate you back. God requires us to love one another.
Share your umbrella when it is raining..even if the person you are sharing with has a bad odour; Today i read an article about how people misbehave with umbrellas while boarding matatus (public transport vehicles). Look here...this person passes you by on the way while you are being rained on (them in their umbrellas). funny enough you board the same matatu...you are wet he is not but his/her umbrella is...most probably you will be asked to hold the umbrella as they find their seats. You are very important at this moment; you know what? do it with a polite heart. You are basically blessing yourself someone might donate a cap to you in the course of the week :).
My post on twitter this morning was about appreciating someone...am glad i got it retweeted severally--i double posted it on facebook and bang minikibs (one of the team members in my department) comments and says ''Operations, today lunch is on Ernie:)thanks in advance:)''. I looked at it did not think twice about it and replied... ''Granted'' yes and for sure we did lunch together...also had to buy soda for Joyce - sales, Cess - front office and Miriam - office attendant (she makes us tea and makes our office look shiny all the times).
Yeah, my cuz also commented and said ''and me?'' - of course sweetie yes I'll bring something for you. Yeah and also had to brighten some people's day with humour and a blessing.....on twitter!
I did not do much in the office today.....but am very happy I still have my day as happy as it can get.
what have you given out? How does your heart feel about it.
Am off for the today --- Ernie your Boy!
